QUOTABLE
If you donât go after what you want, youâll never have it. If you donât ask, the answer is always no. If you donât step forward, youâre always in the same place.

This morning
my pastor
arrived in his Black Robe.
That Black Robe came from the American Revolution.
It hangs outside his office
with a sign that says:
"in case of emergency . . . "
Today was a day to wear that garment.
He didn't have to explain - we understood,
We read out loud together
from the
Letter of Love
Our Father gave us.
We read sitting down
because
it was a much longer than usual reading.
If you want to read it for yourself,
Here:
Joel 2: 12 - 17
and
Deuteronomy 28: 1-68
(my own small/birth portion
is found in that part of Deuteronomy.
Reading it made me shiver.)
Our Pastor has three services today.
Thousands get to be in the sanctuary,
Countless more
from all over the world log on and join.
at the end of service
one lady
with her guitar
sang
a magnificent song
and
everyone joined in
( all of us - singing from the heart - could be heard.)

All morning I've been thinking
I'm in "a pickle"
and
There's no helper
and
I'll need to pull myself up
"by my own boot straps."
Then, as I started typing,
I decided to look up that saying . .
you know, the "boot strap saying."
It turns out
that saying was first intended as an insult
or joke
or jest
BECAUSE
we are not actually able
on any level
to pull ourselves out of "trouble."
-sigh-
I have used every means possible
to lift myself
to ask for assistance
to "listen" for the answer.
The best I've got
is a "retooled" plan/path/concept.
Somehow, I'm thinking
just like all the other times
I get to "do the work"
(I like that part)
AND
It/I (we) will be blessed.
so, okay-
Here we go.

ps: I have boots - and ideas - and the plan of action.
SO,
Singin' Loud - Here we go . . . . . ð

A Land of Possibilities
A Land of Hope
A Land where every person
Is allowed to sing their own song

I'm out of practice
This is terrific
Because I have a lot of think about
So
I can brush up my skills
and decide what I'd like to do
Did you hear:
Louisiana has announced
every classroom in the state will display the Ten Commandments.
Tennessee has announced
prayer and fasting the month of July.
(fasting according to their conscience)
A Congregation in California decided to join Tennessee.
No tellin' what terrific thing has happened since mid-morning
BUT.
I'm all in!
Oh, I called a pastor I did not know in Idaho
and asked him to pray
and I would agree
AND
The reason for my call
had already been resolved
SO,
Together
On the phone
We agreed that GOD is SO GOOD
He even answers prayers
Before we gather to ask.
Kind of amazing, hm??
I have two days off.
I wonder what will happen next.

If you look at the "Big Picture"
with or without your feet
Your Boots might be shaking.
Maybe a little Joy
will help - hm?

-a little photo shoot for you-

-zooming-

and
now we are hot . . . photo shoot is over
-good-bye!-

Twister was a popular game a long time ago.
A mat with colored dots was placed on the floor
people stood around the mat
A spinner whirled - then stopped on a color.
Players rushed to place a body part on the right color dot
Very soon
All the players were tangled.
I feel tangled like that just now.
See:
I noticed a short saying
2 Peter 1:15
The was from the "NIV" translation.
I used to sing verses from the "NIV"
(right now I read from the translation my Foster Mother preferred . . . I miss her - - I miss feeling like I had a family. but that's another story.)
Anyway, it says:
"For this very reason,
make every effort to add to your faith
goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;"
I like that.
It's helpful
and works for me.
Then
I made the grand mistake of looking at other English translations.
whew
All those fancy words
saying essentially the same thing
but
differently.
Be VERY Happy I'm not listing some of them
Because
That's how I remembered the feeling of being all twisted up with others on a small colored dot plastic mat on the floor.
Speaking tomorrow to people I love
who live in a quaint village
by a lake.
love & love,

We've been out doing lots of fun stuff.
Now, mom is studying.
I MUST try to rest
and
still keep an eye on her
because she is always up to some kind of mischief.
Happy Wednesday!

I don't remember I chose Thursday to be my favorite day.
I do know that choice came from this poem:

I've always believed
for Thursday's Child
there is always more
to do
to discover
to be
and
so far
I have not been disappointed.

I told him we were sending a message today.
This is what he wanted to say.
